Camino day 4

I am in Mirallos, Galicia. After walking for what seemed like an eternity I landed here: a private albergue that operates on the honor system. Its so refreshing that this lady put anyone who walked in her door in a bed to sleep! What a great person right? I mean, its not 5* accommodation but its not bad at all.

I haven't been eating well which I feel affects my performance. I went from a 10 min km to 30 min. Tomorrow I'm going to make sure to eat breakfast before I depart.

Today I left Samo on time at 5:45 am. It was pitch black and I was doing fine. I got to a split in the road: the map said go straight the arrows and road signs for pilgrims said go right. Well I ended up a creek without a paddle. I and a group of 9th graders from Zaragoza and a french couple. We had to zigzag through the country including seemingly abandoned hamlets and farms. I blasphemed a lot and I think everyone did. I later cussed some more when I found out this "gorgeous" detour added 5 unnecessary kms to my trip.

I've made good friends/contacts this leg of the camino. Including to Irishmen who have been walking for about 3 weeks from France all across Spain!
This post is all over the place, but so am I! I am 98km away from the Cathedral. I have my return train ticket to madrid for Friday. Ill be in Compostela by Wednesday.
